Becoming a Citizen

I am getting sworn in on October 6.
Getting Canadian citizenship proved a much easier process than getting permanent residency. I applied in February and in the mail received a letter stating they would notify me of my test date within a year, and a book to study for the test. In August I got the letter for my test date. I took the test on September 15 and it was easy; the hard part was the hour+ spent waiting for them to interview everyone and hand out the tests. I aced it. It was really easy, though. Most people probably don't speak English as their first language, and they want to make it easy for people, at this point, because they've already proven their eligibility.
So on October 6 at 8:15AM, I will be sworn in as a Canadian citizen. Well, I have to be there at 8:15, the swearing in will probably be at least an hour later. I'll have to remember to eat beforehand. Anyway, sometime that morning, I'll have dual citizenship.
It will be good to have a Canadian passport, and to vote, and to be allowed to move freely and come back. Eh?
